Mrs. Rita Mukerji
An FMS alumnus who earned her Master of Business Administration degree (First Division) from the University of Delhi in 1989.
She had a resilient and dynamic career from that of a senior officer in a bank to a successful role in top-level management followed by business entrepreneurship. After Rita Mukerji did her MBA from FMS, she served as the top executive in the MNCĀ engaged in consulting for major port, road, power and environment projects in India.
Finally, Rita Mukerji established a business of her own, emerging as the lead distributor for the entire range of Hindustan Unilever (HuL) Products in North India. Rita Mukerji’s immense concern for society was reflected in her anonymous charity for marriages of impoverished women, education of the girl child, poverty alleviation and care for the destitute elderly. She and her team braved all odds during COVID to ensure that supplies of sanitizers, disinfectants and other protection remained uninterrupted throughout.
Her business acumen and leadership were recognised by conferment, upon Rita Mukerji, of theĀ Mahila Shiromani Award for “outstanding achievements in the chosen field of Activity” and the Bharat Nirman Award for “Outstanding Contribution in the Field”. Rita Mukerji left for her heavenly abode on 19th October 2023.
